The haudenschildGarage supported the short film The Piano & The Ballerina: A Love Song, written and directed by Samuel Curtis.

The Piano & The Ballerina: A Love Song is a love story between two artists, two dreamers. Real Music. Real Dance. Real Love. Real Film. A nervous and introspective pianist falls in love with a determined yet lonely dancer. This is a film I have been developing for eight months. For the past three years I have been studying and exploring the craft of filmmaking at the College of Motion Picture Arts at Florida State University and this film will be the culmination of my work and experience to date. Personally dedicated to the craft of Love, Inspiration, and Music, this film aims to uphold and instill these virtues.

About Samuel Curtis

I am an Artist: A Filmmaker, A Musician, A Poet, and a Storyteller. I am interested in the exploration of Love, Inspiration, and Honesty. I developed as a Jazz Pianist at a young age while living in Sarasota, Florida. At that young age I discovered the importance of Expression. I furthered my education and exploration into Expression by receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Florida State University College of Motion Picture Arts. I have been deeply involved in the production of about fifty short films in the past three years. I have personally written/directed and photographed nine films in this time. In my future I will look at the world through the eyes of an Artist. Such as, How can I express this moment? How can I inspire?
