In early 2010, the haudenschildGarage established the Fundación Migdalia Rubio (www.fundacionmigdaliarubio.org). Its mission is to offer scholarships to economically disadvantaged elementary and high school students in Tijuana, Mexico. The haudenschildGarage is working in partnership with the Fundación Migdalia Rubio to support students providing all necessities for their academic success.

The foundation’s desire is to encourage the students’ families to become active and involved participants in the basic education of their children. The students were selected in the summer of 2010 based on an economic study of the neighborhoods of Tijuana. The selected students will provide progress reports on their performance and school attendance to the foundation during the year.

The scholarship will provide students with the following:

- One year of tuition
- Uniforms and shoes
- Books and school supplies
- Daily school lunches
- Transportation to and from school
- Special school event clothing
- Sports equipment and activities
- Artists’ workshops
- English Classes
- Dance Classes
- Security and Hygiene Classes
